ABOUT ME

I Illustrate life, sometimes it's an international city and sometimes the local shop.  It has become my passion since starting my bespoke art business back in 2005.   I take great pleasure in finding small details, that will bring humour and make people smile.  My hope is that my work captures a 'moment in time' and brings back precious memories.   My style originates from my textiles degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I spent many hours drawing, mixing colours and being encouraged to find inspiration in the world around me.   One brief was to paint every colour in the leaf of a spider plant!  But, such discipline means I can mix any paint colour and I am not phased by painting any subject matter.

Based in Thames Ditton, Surrey, I have gained a reputation for painting the local area, producing prints and products of where I live.  It is so lovely when I meet customers, and they recite stories of my tea towels being given to friends and family all the over the world.

As my business has grown, I have worked with prestigious international companies, charities and local retailers on a variety of projects.  Recent commissions include a bag design for a Jumeirah Hotels press event, image and product for The French Table, Surbiton and cover design for Surrey Life Magazine.  To view work please go to 'commercial projects' section of the website.
