I Illustrate life, sometimes it's an international city and sometimes the local shop. It has become my passion since starting my bespoke art business back in 2005. I take great pleasure in finding small details, that will bring humour and make people smile. My hope is that my work captures a 'moment in time' and brings back precious memories. My style originates from my textiles degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I spent many hours drawing, mixing colours and being encouraged to find inspiration in the world around me. One brief was to paint every colour in the leaf of a spider plant! But, such discipline means I can mix any paint colour and I am not phased by painting any subject matter.
Based in Thames Ditton, Surrey, I have gained a reputation for painting the local area, producing prints and products of where I live. It is so lovely when I meet customers, and they recite stories of my tea towels being given to friends and family all the over the world.
As my business has grown, I have worked with prestigious international companies, charities and local retailers on a variety of projects. Recent commissions include a bag design for a Jumeirah Hotels press event, image and product for The French Table, Surbiton and cover design for Surrey Life Magazine.
